This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
• Interact directly with DoW customers (combatant commands, military services, defense agencies) to grasp mission requirements, program limitations, and technical landscapes.
• Align requirements with the Salesforce portfolio: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, MuleSoft, Tableau, Agentforce, Data360, and Government Cloud Plus Defense.
• Develop, construct, and present customized demos and proof-of-concept solutions tailored to DoW use cases—HR, logistics, sustainment, case/investigation management, acquisition lifecycle, program management, and workforce operations.
• Design and prototype Agentforce solutions suitable for DoW environments, including agentic workflow design, grounding/RAG patterns for controlled unclassified data, prompt governance, and considerations for production readiness in mission-critical deployments.
• Effectively communicate Salesforce's security and compliance framework—DoW IL2/IL4/IL5 authorizations, data sovereignty, and cloud security architecture—to technical evaluators, ISSOs, and program offices.
• Assist in RFI/RFP submissions by providing technical content, demo scenarios, and architectural documentation.
• Collaborate with Account Executives, Capture Managers, and Customer Success in a team-selling context to enhance pipeline and pursuit strategies.
• Create reusable POC assets, playbooks, and best-practice guides to facilitate delivery across the DoW customer base.
• Relay Voice of the Customer feedback to Salesforce Product and contribute to messaging strategies alongside Product Marketing.
• Over 7 years of experience as a Solution or Sales Engineer for a CRM, enterprise SaaS, or mission IT company, preferably with DoW or defense contractor customers.
• Proficient in Agentforce, Data Cloud, and Salesforce Platform development: capable of creating agentic workflows, automation, and data pipelines from the ground up.
• Practical understanding of AI: knowledge of LLMs, RAG/grounding, agentic system design, and production behavior, including safety, reliability, and governance considerations pertinent to DoW operational settings.
• Expertise in deep discovery and MVP scoping: able to execute technical and business discovery, define agentic use cases, establish measurable success criteria, and create a viable architecture and activation strategy.
• Knowledge of DoW compliance frameworks.
• Excellent written, verbal, and whiteboard communication skills—capable of engaging with audiences ranging from developers to C-suite executives, as well as technical evaluators to COTRs.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-selling environment while managing multiple pursuits concurrently.
• U.S. citizenship is required; the ability to obtain a DoW security clearance is preferred.
