This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Focus on identifying and cultivating Public Sector Accounts (Central / Federal Government / Local / Ministries, etc.)
• Transform prospects into sales by distinguishing from competitors.
• Collaborate with System Engineers to devise account strategies and plans, and to organize and deliver engaging and flawless product presentations.
• Partner with the channel to access new accounts.
• Ensure strong operational excellence, including forecast accuracy, SFDC pipeline development, and more.
• Keep informed about Proofpoint’s competitive positioning in the market.
• Proven and demonstrable success in exceeding revenue targets.
• Essential experience with public tenders, procurement processes, and government frameworks.
• Strong understanding of the public sector ecosystem along with relationships with relevant partners.
• Ideally, experience selling Enterprise Security or IT solutions; however, strong public sector expertise takes precedence.
• Strong business acumen to comprehend the security threat landscape and serve as a trusted advisor to the CISO.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively convey Proofpoint’s value proposition.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and process-focused.
• Self-starter capable of working independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Proficient in utilizing SFDC, pricing, and other online tools effectively.
• Existing relationships in similar markets are preferred.
• Fluent in German and English is required.
