This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wyoming.
• Formulates and implements both short-term and long-term strategic account plans for designated accounts; consistently reviews and delivers status updates on progress relative to account plans and sales objectives.
• Proactively identifies customer requirements and collaborates with Balchem's Marketing, Product Management, Product Development, Customer Service, and Finance teams to provide marketable products and solutions.
• Gathers and analyzes marketing data to successfully achieve business goals and strategies; observes trends, competitive activities, product development, and market penetration; advises on actions to mitigate the loss of existing business and foster the growth of new business.
• Organizes, schedules, and conducts regular outreach to assigned accounts; facilitates meetings involving various company professionals to foster multi-level support and relationships.
• Oversees contracts and pricing, including negotiations, for assigned accounts.
• Communicates and maintains precise sales forecasts and is both accountable and responsible for meeting budget and growth targets.
• Addresses customer inquiries for samples, technical, quality, and regulatory data, as well as providing support on product usage and application.
• Operates with limited supervision and guidance.
• Must adhere to all corporate policies and procedures.
• Performs additional duties as required.
• A bachelor's degree with an MBA is mandatory; a technical degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive sales or business development experience, with at least the last 2+ years managing multiple accounts within the food ingredient sector.
• Exceptional leadership, relationship-building, and negotiation skills with a proven track record of developing and executing strategic plans are essential.
• The ideal candidate must possess strong business acumen and the ability to lead and cultivate cross-functional opportunities between Balchem and their clients across all organizational levels.
• Must be prepared to travel up to 60% of the time, with overnight stays required.
