This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Formulates and implements both short-term and long-term strategic account plans for designated accounts; routinely assesses and provides updates on progress related to account plans and sales budgets.
• Proactively identifies customer requirements and collaborates closely with Balchem's Marketing, Product Management, Product Development, Customer Service, and Finance teams to deliver viable products and solutions.
• Gathers and reports marketing insights to successfully achieve business goals and strategies; tracks trends, competitive actions, product developments, and market share; suggests actions to avert the loss of current business and foster new business growth.
• Organizes, schedules, and conducts regular outreach to assigned accounts; facilitates meetings among various company professionals to deliver comprehensive support and foster relationships at multiple levels.
• Oversees contracts and pricing, including negotiations, for assigned accounts.
• Communicates and maintains precise sales forecasts and is both accountable for and responsible for achieving budget and growth objectives.
• Addresses customer requests for samples, technical, quality, and regulatory information, as well as support for product usage and application.
• Operates with minimal supervision and guidance.
• Must adhere to all corporate policies and procedures.
• Performs additional duties as needed.
• A Bachelor's degree with an MBA is mandatory; a technical degree is preferred.
• At least 7 years of progressive sales or business development experience, with a minimum of 2 years in managing multiple accounts within the food ingredient sector.
• Strong leadership, relationship-building, and negotiation capabilities with a demonstrated history of developing and executing strategic plans are essential.
• The candidate must possess robust business acumen and the ability to lead and cultivate cross-functional opportunities between Balchem and their clients across all organizational levels.
• Willingness to travel up to 60%, including overnight stays, is required.
