This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develops and implements both short-term and long-term strategic account plans for designated accounts; consistently reviews and provides updates on progress relative to the account plan and sales budget.

• Proactively identifies customer requirements and collaborates closely with Balchem Marketing, Product Management, Product Development, Customer Service, Finance, and other teams to provide marketable products and solutions.

• Gathers and reports marketing data essential for successfully achieving business objectives and strategies; monitors market trends, competitive activities, product development, and penetration; advises on actions to mitigate the loss of existing business and foster new business growth.

• Organizes, schedules, and conducts regular calls to designated accounts; coordinates meetings for various company professionals to offer multi-level support and strengthen relationships.

• Oversees contracts and pricing, including negotiations, for assigned accounts.

• Communicates and maintains precise sales forecasts, being both accountable and responsible for achieving budget and growth targets.

• Addresses customer inquiries regarding samples, technical, quality, and regulatory information, as well as support for product usage and applications.

• Operates with limited supervision and guidance.

• Must adhere to all corporate policies and procedures.

• Performs additional duties as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree with an MBA is required; a technical degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive sales or business development experience, including at least 2+ years managing multiple accounts in the food ingredient sector.

• Strong leadership, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, are essential.

• The candidate must possess strong business acumen and the capability to lead and cultivate cross-functional opportunities between Balchem and clients across all organizational levels.

• Must be willing to travel up to 60%, including overnight stays as necessary.
