This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Manage all designated Commercial accounts and key site-level locations, showcasing the complete LGC Standards portfolio across various end-markets to foster new and sustain existing account relationships.
• Identify and secure new opportunities, sourced from self-generated prospecting or marketing-qualified leads.
• Engage additional members of the LGC Standards team as necessary to optimally address customer needs and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Collaborate with the strategic account manager for pertinent sites within specific strategic accounts.
• Utilize LGC’s sales tools to effectively oversee prospects, current accounts, new opportunities, active pipelines, and relevant sales forecasts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of key LGC products and their applications.
• Achieve and surpass assigned sales targets for LGC Standards.
• Proactively engage with customers to assess leads, convert prospects, follow up on quotations, and drive new sales.
• Enhance the visibility of the LGC Standards brand by organizing and participating in exhibitions, seminars, and other events.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in selling technical products utilized in research laboratories.
• Prior successful experience in key account management, particularly with central procurement, is preferred.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as RFQs, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management platforms, such as Salesforce and Desk.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is an advantage.
• Exceptional commercial acumen and planning skills.
• Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is a significant plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory: CA, OR, NV.
