This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Identify, evaluate, and cultivate potential customers in emerging areas of factory and process automation (e.g., Industry 4.0, digitalization, sensing, vision systems, RFID, HMI & APL)
• Strategically expand the customer base and secure new clients
• Take complete ownership of the sales process from lead generation to proposal submission and closing sales orders and projects
• Independently organize and conduct customer visits, web meetings, and campaigns within the designated sales region
• Assess potential customers based on revenue potential, market attractiveness, and risk factors
• Participate in regional and cluster meetings within the matrix organization
• Continuously enhance applied research, sales, and reporting methods within the Mercuri Sales Platform model
• Represent the company at trade shows, particularly for innovative products and product launches
• Operate in the Southern Germany region with a regional office in Augsburg-Friedberg and the flexibility to work from home
• Completed degree in (industrial) engineering or vocational technician qualification with several years of experience in sales within automation technology
• Several years of professional experience in sales or product management
• Strong technical knowledge, particularly regarding future developments in factory automation
• Excellent acquisition and negotiation abilities
• Strong enthusiasm for digital trends, technologies, methods, and tools
• Quick learner with a readiness to contribute to shaping the role
• High levels of creativity, initiative, a proactive working style, and team-oriented approach
• Business-fluent in German; proficiency in English is a plus
