This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee and uphold a portfolio of designated customer accounts, ensuring a high degree of client satisfaction and engagement.
• Create and execute strategic account plans aimed at driving revenue growth, customer retention, and profitability goals.
• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within client organizations.
• Discover opportunities to broaden existing business by cross-selling and upselling SGS services across various business lines.
• Conduct routine business reviews with clients to comprehend their needs, challenges, and future requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams to guarantee effective service delivery and resolution of customer concerns.
• Monitor account performance and proactively tackle risks related to customer retention and satisfaction.
• Compile precise sales forecasts, account plans, and pipeline updates regularly.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Inside Sales, Operations, and other support teams to formulate and implement customer growth strategies.
• Prepare client quotes, service agreements, proposals, responses to RFIs, RFPs, and tenders, ensuring timely and professional submissions.
• Manage opportunities throughout the entire sales cycle, from identifying customer needs to proposal development, negotiation, and contract renewal or expansion.
• Maintain detailed and accurate customer records, activities, and opportunities within the CRM system.
• Collect and disseminate market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor information to inform business strategy.
• Represent SGS at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings to strengthen relationships and promote company services.
• Ensure follow-up and closure on all proposals, renewals, and account growth initiatives.
• Seek opportunities to enhance SGS's profile and deepen client partnerships within assigned accounts.
• Assist with special projects and other related tasks as assigned.
• Education: post-secondary degree in a relevant field.
• Experience: more than five years of relevant sales/business development experience is essential.
• Expert understanding of the business line services.
• Strong business acumen.
• Ability to showcase customer-centric selling techniques.
• Exceptional presentation skills.
• Must be a self-motivated individual and a proactive starter.
• Creative, innovative, and focused on client needs.
• Demonstrate diplomacy and networking capabilities.
• Bilingualism (French/English) where necessary.
• Must be capable of reading, understanding, and following work instructions in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
• Candidates should be proficient in various computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook) including sales tracking tools (i.e., CRM).
• Proven track record of managing and coordinating multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
• Candidates must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and composition.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with others and work independently.
• Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to perform well under pressure.
