This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with potential and existing customers.
• Generate purchase orders to achieve or surpass annual targets.
• Maintain and submit relevant records for forecasting, quote statuses, and expenses.
• Provide assistance to Applications Engineers as needed in creating solutions that address customer requirements.
• Continuously reach out to prospective clients based on leads obtained from business directories or other sources.
• Support all facets of sales and marketing for a designated geographic area and/or vertical by conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, understanding the geographic market, evaluating the competitive landscape, identifying niche opportunities, supporting lead generation activities, developing and communicating value propositions, and participating in trade shows while creating marketing collateral.
• Assist in aftermarket sales efforts.
• Align product offerings with market demands.
• Identify distinctive intellectual property opportunities.
• Set goals and align activities to support these objectives.
• Maintain and submit relevant records for forecasting, quote statuses, and expenses.
• A minimum of ten years of experience in custom automation with recent, relevant expertise focused on the Life Science sector (e.g., Med Tech, Med Device, Pharma, etc.).
• Five to ten years of experience in account management or new business development.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or equivalent experience, calculated as two (2) years of relevant work experience for each year of academic study.
• Proficient in CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
• Current or previous experience with JR Automation, or within the automation sector, is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to continually engage prospective customers using leads from business directories or other resources.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time (primarily for day trips).
