This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
• Initiate proactive campaigns to enhance the sales pipeline.
• Identify, qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities utilizing specialized skills and knowledge.
• Manage accounts in higher education and state government sectors.
• Build long-term sales pipelines to boost market share.
• Discover new customer-value opportunities by expanding and improving existing ones.
• Set the strategic direction for business development and solution replication.
• Establish and grow reference customers.
• Sell intricate products or solutions on a partnership basis.
• Foster professional, consultative relationships with mid-to-large account clients, including C-level executives.
• Gain insight into clients' unique business needs and industries.
• Assist account leads with cross-portfolio solution integration.
• Cultivate lasting executive relationships and promote comprehensive solution capabilities.
• Maintain expertise in IT applications, maintenance, CIO budgets, objectives, measures, and metrics.
• Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities.
• Drive services sales by prospecting, negotiating, and finalizing deals.
• Develop business cases and account plans to foster incremental revenue.
• Balance strategic and tactical initiatives to optimize coverage and achieve predictable revenue.
• Provide value-added solutions through engagement with C-level executives.
• Oversee projects and collaborate with the account team on strategic account planning.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Advanced degree or MBA is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of sales experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in higher education or state account management.
• Relevant industry experience is essential.
• Expertise in products, solutions, services, and competitor offerings for complex solution sales.
• Understanding of competitors' strengths and weaknesses with the ability to leverage this knowledge.
• Specialized skills in consultative solution selling and business development.
• Comprehensive knowledge of client businesses, organizational structures, processes, and financial frameworks.
• Significant understanding of customer infrastructure and architecture.
• Demonstrated leadership and initiative in driving service sales.
• Proficiency in strategic business development planning and business case formulation.
• Capability to balance strategic and tactical pursuits effectively.
• Strong skills in engaging with C-level executives.
