This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +8 more states.
• Develop and implement a sales strategy focused on the U.S. market to secure internship placements and effectively match students with those roles.
• Establish and execute sales strategies, management tools, and processes aimed at achieving ambitious sales targets.
• Create a strong pipeline of employer partnerships by engaging directly with decision-makers and other key influencers in target companies.
• Utilize tools (such as Salesforce, Bookings, etc.) to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability.
• Assess industry trends, opportunities, and competitors to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the market and our competitive landscape.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop the necessary collateral, pitch materials, and market positioning for successful employer interactions.
• Tailor sales strategies and approaches based on local market dynamics.
• When suitable, propose and cultivate strategic partnerships that will bolster the team's success.
• Oversee employer partnerships to guarantee the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
• Continuously refine and adapt value propositions for employers to suit various industries and markets as needed.
• Lead the onboarding process for new employer partners.
• Proactively manage relationships to foster growth in partnerships year after year.
• Facilitate the recruitment process in collaboration with host employers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for host management needs.
• Communicate and advocate for the interests of employers to ensure successful placements and an optimal experience for both students/young professionals and employers.
• Manage expectations with host employers to ensure compliance with the U.S. Department of State’s BridgeUSA (J-1 Visa) program.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales-related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Proven ability to build and sustain impactful relationships and successfully close sales.
• Strong network of relationships with employers across various sectors (for-profit, non-profit, government).
• Familiarity with Salesforce and other CRM tools to facilitate sales and ongoing account management.
• Ability to represent CIEE in public forums with industry partners (e.g., at conferences, meetings with senior executives, government officials, foundations, etc.).
• Excellent administrative and organizational capabilities with the proficiency to coordinate a wide range of activities effectively.
• Must demonstrate professionalism both internally and externally to CIEE and be dedicated to the organization’s values and objectives.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills adaptable to diverse audiences, including participants, faculty, Board members, employees, and industry partners.
• Capacity to navigate and resolve a variety of issues while serving as an exemplary ambassador for CIEE and its mission and programs.
• Ability to thrive in a complex institutional environment, possess a high tolerance for ambiguity and flexibility, and respond swiftly and appropriately to changing circumstances.
