Account Manager – Industry Partnerships

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a sales strategy focused on U.S. employers to secure internship placements and align students with these opportunities.

• Establish and execute sales strategies, management tools, and processes aimed at achieving ambitious sales targets.

• Create a strong pipeline of employer partnerships by directly engaging with decision-makers and other key influencers at target organizations.

• Utilize tools such as Salesforce and Bookings to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability.

• Examine industry trends, opportunities, and competitors to cultivate and sustain a comprehensive understanding of the market and competitive landscape.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop the necessary collateral, pitch materials, and market positioning for impactful employer discussions.

• Adjust sales strategies and tactics in accordance with local market conditions.

• When applicable, pitch and establish strategic partnerships that will contribute to the success of the team's initiatives.

• Oversee employer partnerships to guarantee the highest level of customer satisfaction.

• Continuously refine and adapt value propositions for employers, customizing them for various industries and markets as needed.

• Lead the onboarding process for new employer partners.

• Proactively manage relationships to enhance partnerships year over year.

• Facilitate the recruitment process with host employers.

• Act as the primary contact for host management requirements.

• Communicate and advocate for the interests of employers to ensure successful placements and positive experiences for both students/young professionals and employers.

• Set and manage expectations with host employers to ensure compliance with the U.S. Department of State’s BridgeUSA (J-1 Visa) program.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a sales-related role.

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• Proven ability to cultivate and maintain impactful relationships and successfully close sales.

• Established network of relationships with employers across various sectors, including for-profit, non-profit, and government organizations.

• Strong familiarity with Salesforce and other CRM tools to facilitate sales and ongoing account management.

• Capability to represent CIEE in public forums with industry partners, such as conferences and meetings with senior executives, government officials, and foundations.

• Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to coordinate a wide range of activities effectively.

• Must demonstrate professionalism internally and externally to CIEE and be dedicated to the company's values and objectives.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to various audiences, including participants, faculty, board members, employees, and industry partners.

• Ability to navigate and resolve a diverse range of challenges, serving as an exemplary ambassador for CIEE and its mission and programs.

• Capability to thrive in a complex organizational framework, exhibiting high tolerance for ambiguity and flexibility, and responding swiftly and appropriately to changing situations.

• Willingness to grow and develop personally, alongside our client group and company.
