This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Oversee the comprehensive business relationship for accounts within the designated territory.
• Formulate and implement commercial and technical strategies aimed at enhancing market share, boosting profitability, and optimizing working capital.
• Willingness to travel more than 50% of the time is required.
• Hold overall sales accountability for several major clients, including forgers, machine shops, distributors, and potentially OEMs.
• Prepare, propose, negotiate, and finalize commercial agreements that align with the objectives of the business plan.
• Create strategic account plans that outline the tactics and actions essential for supporting targeted growth.
• Conduct regular visits and cultivate mid to high-level decision-making contacts to strengthen key relationships and enhance customer engagement.
• Identify new accounts not currently serviced directly to facilitate applicable growth within the assigned territory.
• Generate and input precise sales forecasts based on customer insights and market knowledge.
• Utilize customer relationship management tools to drive an effective sales management process that addresses both new opportunities and existing competitive challenges.
• Recognize value-added opportunities, whether through new products or enhancements to currently supplied products, to further distinguish our value and service offerings from competitors.
• Monitor and address issues related to overdue accounts receivable, disputed items, and customer finished inventory.
• An Associate's degree in business or a related field with at least 6 years of experience in Sales or Commercial roles.
• A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Sales or Commercial roles.
• A Master's degree in business or a related field with at least 1 year of experience in Sales or Commercial roles.
• Proven experience in account growth, value-based selling approaches, and new business development.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively and credibly at all organizational levels.
• Capability to manage medium, multi-faceted accounts.
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong technical knowledge in Metallus and the markets and applications relevant to customers.
• Ability to identify and promote value-added opportunities.
• Familiarity and proficiency with the D365 Tool.
• This position offers the option for a remote work schedule.
