This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.
• Devote the majority of time to customer-oriented sales activities, which include in-person meetings, lab visits, and scientific discussions with researchers.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with principal investigators (PIs), researchers, and R&D leaders within academia, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Recognize customer needs and suggest suitable solutions utilizing synthetic biology products and services.
• Oversee customer interactions throughout the entire sales cycle, encompassing opportunity development, quotations, order follow-ups, and post-sales assistance.
• Meet assigned quarterly and annual revenue goals.
• Create and implement territory plans to grow business in the Korean market.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide precise sales forecasts.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within both existing and prospective accounts.
• Keep abreast of market trends and competitor activities in the synthetic biology and life science research arenas.
• Share market insights and customer feedback with internal teams.
• Assist in the launch of new products and solutions based on customer requirements.
• Collaborate closely with technical support teams (FAS/application scientists) to assist in customer discussions when necessary.
• Work with operations and internal teams to ensure seamless order processing and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities within CRM systems.
• Represent the company at scientific conferences, academic gatherings, and industry events.
• Support local marketing initiatives, including seminars, workshops, and customer engagement programs.
• A minimum of 2–5 years of experience in life science sales, ideally in reagents, genomics, or synthetic biology products.
• Background in selling to academic institutions, biotech firms, or pharmaceutical companies in Korea.
• Strong preference for experience in customer-facing field sales roles.
• Fundamental understanding of molecular biology, genomics, or synthetic biology workflows.
• Capability to effectively communicate scientific concepts to researchers.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related life science discipline.
