Account Manager – Consumer Goods

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic account plan.

• Transform financial profitability and objectives into actionable strategies and be accountable for overall profit growth.

• Assist in formulating the sales strategy, both from a strategic and tactical standpoint.

• Oversee and facilitate the implementation of the account plan, report on established performance metrics, and take corrective measures to achieve desired outcomes.

• Establish sustainable cross-layer networks within designated accounts through direct engagement and by aligning key stakeholders at the appropriate levels to accelerate business development.

• Identify long-term business prospects within the account(s) and integrate these into the account strategy and plan.

• Define and execute projects focused on essential products, processes, and innovations while establishing a clear project management framework and responsibilities.

• Collaborate with sales and other internal teams to devise strategic marketing plans and ensure that KPIs are met.

• Track and evaluate competitive products, market requirements, and business strategies (competitive profiling), incorporating insights into account and sales plans.

• Lead contract negotiations with the respective account(s) and ensure the successful execution of sales contracts.

• Coordinate technical services or after-sales support for the account.

• Supervise the complaint resolution process and ensure timely and appropriate resolution with the account.

• Monitor the account's payment practices and take action to ensure compliance with agreed payment terms.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a science/technology and/or business-related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.

• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing sales/account management within a relevant market is required.

• Strong business acumen is essential.

• In-depth knowledge of plastics and plastic processing is crucial, along with a balanced understanding of commercial and technical aspects.

• A passion for diverse applications and a broad material portfolio, with a strong emphasis on specialty materials.

• Exceptional communication skills across all levels of hierarchy.

• Skilled in networking with excellent negotiation skills.

• An entrepreneurial mindset; a self-starter with a high degree of motivation and resilience.

• A high level of energy, commitment, and enthusiasm for the business.

• Proficiency in English is required; any additional languages are a plus.
