This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• The Account Manager is tasked with fostering organic growth, ensuring retention, and enhancing overall satisfaction for house accounts.
• Responsible for managing and expanding existing house accounts by recognizing opportunities for expedited services, new lanes, northbound freight, and partial loads.
• Regularly assess potential threats (such as competitor activities and service issues) and work alongside senior leadership to implement necessary corrective measures.
• Develop strong social and professional relationships with key decision-makers.
• Act as the primary point of contact between customers and the Customer Service Department (CSD).
• Conduct a minimum of 10 follow-up calls weekly to maintain account relationships.
• Prepare and present On-Time Performance (OTP) and EDI reports within the first 10 days of each month for accounts governed by contracts or agreements.
• Monitor route consistency and investigate any service interruptions that arise.
• Dedicate at least 50% of work time, or more, to conducting in-person visits with customers.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Between 3 to 7 years of experience in materials management, logistics, or purchasing/procurement.
• Demonstrated success in establishing and nurturing B2B relationships.
• Experience with Mexican customs and international trade regulations is strongly preferred.
• Automotive industry experience is an added advantage.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) proficiency is required.
• Access to a reliable vehicle for weekly customer visits.
• Excellent interpersonal, networking, and presentation abilities.
• Capability to make swift, informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• A proactive, optimistic, and self-driven work ethic.
• Willingness to travel as required for client engagements.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (such as Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Knowledge of freight forwarding, partial loads, and expedited freight services.
• Understanding of EDI systems and performance reporting.
