This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.
• Establish strong connections with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Increase the revenue for the Standards business territory, focusing primarily on the Reference Materials and Analytical Standards product lines.
• Take ownership of all assigned Commercial accounts and Strategic site-level locations, representing the complete LGC Standards portfolio across all end-markets.
• Identify and secure new opportunities, generated through either prospecting or from marketing as qualified leads.
• Involve additional members of the LGC Standards team as necessary to effectively meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with the strategic account manager to plan and review customer sites as needed.
• Utilize LGC’s sales tools to accurately manage prospects, existing accounts, new opportunities, and relevant sales forecasts.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of key LGC products and their applications.
• Achieve and surpass assigned sales targets for LGC Standards.
• Actively engage with customers to qualify leads, convert prospects, and stimulate new sales.
• Keep CRMs updated with current customer information.
• Organize and participate in exhibitions, seminars, and other events to enhance awareness of the LGC Standards brand.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in selling technical products used in research laboratories.
• Prior successful experience in key account management with central procurement is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as RFQs, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management platforms, including Sales Force and Desk.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is advantageous.
• Exceptional commercial awareness and planning skills.
• Proven history of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Proficiency in English.
• Fluency or proficiency in additional languages is a considerable advantage.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory: VT, NH, MA, RI, CT, NY, PR.
