This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Promote and market biocide products by crafting sales strategies that align with both global and regional marketing initiatives.
• Conduct regular face-to-face customer visits, with travel up to 50%; utilize virtual meetings as necessary.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with both current and prospective clients utilizing the LANXESS Opportunity Funnel.
• Develop and strengthen relationships at all levels within customer organizations by leveraging LANXESS resources, including Marketing, Technical, Sales Management, and Business Management.
• Negotiate long-term sales agreements with key and strategic clients, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Deliver business and technical solutions to customers through collaboration with internal teams.
• Collect and relay information on industry trends and customer activities to bolster marketing and sales initiatives.
• Represent LANXESS at trade shows as designated by Marketing and Sales leadership.
• Oversee daily account activities, which include resolving customer issues, preparing call reports, providing forecasts, presenting weekly sales updates, developing strategic account plans, and following up on accounts receivable.
• Complete all mandatory safety and compliance training.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biology is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical sales is essential; experience with biocides is a plus.
• Prior experience selling chemicals in sectors such as Paints & Coatings, Adhesives, Elastomers, and other markets like Water Treatment is required.
• A customer-focused mindset with strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Ideally, candidates should reside in the Midwest region of the U.S. and be willing to travel up to 50% of the time within the U.S. and Canada.
