This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take charge of business performance and revenue enhancement within a designated geographic area.
• Create and implement a Territory Growth Plan aimed at boosting customer acquisition, account growth, and market development.
• Identify, assess, and pursue new business prospects across various industries and account categories.
• Investigate regional investment trends, emerging technologies, competitive activities, and customer initiatives to discover new growth possibilities.
• Formulate territory strategies that balance the acquisition of new customers with the expansion of existing accounts.
• Establish and maintain a robust sales pipeline to support sustained growth and quota achievement.
• Cultivate trustworthy relationships with technical engineers, program leaders, business stakeholders, and executive decision-makers.
• Facilitate customer discovery discussions to comprehend technical challenges, business goals, and success criteria.
• Present technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and solution discussions both independently and collaboratively with supporting resources.
• Assist customers in the evaluation, selection, and adoption of NI solutions.
• Foster customer success from initial engagement through long-term account development.
• Collaborate closely with Applications Engineers, Business Unit leaders, Marketing, Channel teams, Services, and Customer Support to implement regional strategies.
• Utilize distribution, reseller, and solution integration partners to broaden market reach and enhance customer outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance NI's partner ecosystem within the designated territory.
• Coordinate resources among internal and external stakeholders to promote customer success and business growth.
• Establish and fortify NI's presence in the territory through customer engagement, events, industry activities, and technical communities.
• Experience in technical sales, account management, applications engineering, engineering, or other customer-facing technical roles.
• Capability to engage in technical discussions with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Ability to independently deliver product demonstrations and solution presentations.
• Experience in managing opportunities throughout the entire sales lifecycle.
• Proven ability to identify, prospect, and cultivate new customer relationships and business opportunities through proactive territory planning and customer engagement.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms for managing opportunities and customer activities.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license and capability to transport, set up, and demonstrate equipment as required.
