This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Develop and sustain client retention, relationships, and business growth for Dominion National.
• Act as the main point of contact for group customer representatives concerning contracts, benefits, rates, renewals, and escalated service matters.
• Collaborate with clients, insurance brokers, and consultants to guarantee satisfaction with Dominion National's products and services.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients.
• Engage in annual enrollments and negotiate agreements.
• Manage group account management clients, ensuring deadlines are adhered to with prompt responses to inquiries.
• Offer guidance to Dominion National staff regarding the administration of client programs and expectations.
• Lead efforts in developing solutions that address client needs and align responses with engagement strategies.
• Oversee and coordinate renewal processes for assigned clients.
• Generate sales opportunities through external customers and relationships with brokers, consultants, and benefit contacts.
• Enhance membership, foster support for Dominion National, and improve customer loyalty and retention.
• Monitor and uphold data integrity within accounts and the book of business.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless client service processes.
• Keep abreast of changes in regulations and fee schedules to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account management visits with assigned clients.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in account management, client services, and/or sales.
• Preferred experience of at least 3 years within the health care or benefits sector.
• Proven success in managing and expanding client relationships, including renewals, retention, and consultative solution development.
• Demonstrated capability to meet sales and growth objectives, backed by measurable results and a strong performance history.
• Experience collaborating with brokers, consultants, and employer groups, addressing complex client needs and benefit programs.
• Highly organized with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly strong presentation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with group benefits products such as dental, vision, life, and related insurance offerings, along with basic underwriting principles.
• Understanding of employer-sponsored benefit programs, contract provisions, renewals, and rate structures.
• Knowledge of practices, regulations, and compliance requirements in the healthcare and benefits industry at the state and federal level.
• Familiarity with group benefits and underwriting.
• Proven ability to deliver consultative services and proactively fulfill customer needs, utilizing management reports, providing training opportunities, and suggesting innovative solutions.
• Understanding of client account management best practices, including retention strategies, service delivery models, and issue escalation.
• Knowledge of data management and reporting concepts related to membership, billing, renewals, and account performance.
• General understanding of sales and growth concepts, including cross-selling and upselling within a consultative framework.
• Requires an associate’s degree; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Must possess a VA license to sell Health and Life Insurance or obtain the license within 90 days of hire.
• Continued education is necessary to maintain the license.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel frequently to client locations.
