This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Achieving sales and profitability objectives through the development and retention of existing clients, as well as the acquisition of new business opportunities.
• Accountable for driving profitability within the assigned region.
• Create and maintain a pipeline of opportunities to support revenue and territorial growth objectives with both current and prospective customers.
• Employ a consultative selling approach, regularly conducting sales calls with existing clients to nurture and expand the partnership.
• Actively seek new business opportunities by researching and generating leads within targeted businesses through various prospecting efforts.
• Present vending solutions or integration opportunities to clients.
• Generate and follow up on quotes and proposals, negotiate terms, and successfully close deals.
• Identify, present, and document opportunities for productivity improvements and cost savings for the customer base.
• Foster and sustain solid, long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries and/or issues promptly and professionally.
• Organize and conduct training sessions for customers, as well as introduce and demonstrate new products.
• Report on competitive conditions, observe customer financial weaknesses, and relay customer feedback to management.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers to secure mutual business through joint sales efforts.
• Attend sales, product, and other branch/company meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience is required.
• Experience in metalworking, industrial sectors, or MRO is essential.
• Strong business acumen is necessary.
• Proven history of achieving sales targets, acquiring new accounts, retaining existing clients, and penetrating accounts.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and execute on agreed-upon sales metrics.
• Experience with Automated Procurement Systems is preferred.
• Demonstrated capability to solve problems and develop actionable plans.
• Proficiency in utilizing the MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including proficiency in presenting and negotiating.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
• Passionate, adaptable, customer-focused, and team-oriented.
• Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a 2- or 4-year college degree is preferred.
