This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhance revenue and gross margin for a range of PacStar products within the Air Force or other assigned accounts in the territory; responsible for the sales process from initial prospecting to final closure.
• Build trusted partnerships with customers across all levels of influence and decision-making.
• Propel the sales of designated PacStar manufactured products/services, integrated solutions, and selected manufacturers’ offerings through advanced solutions selling techniques.
• Create account plans that promote strategic growth through tactical execution.
• Communicate effectively with the PacStar inside sales, engineering, and customer support teams to provide exceptional products and services to clients.
• Oversee accounts and transactions across various customer locations and operational organizations within the territory.
• Collaborate closely with the Federal Program team to guarantee effective nationwide account management when applicable.
• Exhibit business acumen by preparing business cases, conducting ROI analyses, cost/benefit analyses, and utilizing other performance metrics.
• Lead account efforts in developing responses to RFPs, RFIs, and unsolicited proposals.
• Stay updated on emerging and cutting-edge solutions, products, and services.
• Ensure prompt, thorough, and responsive resolution of customer escalations.
• Demonstrate an understanding of key business drivers for customers.
• Apply strategic and consultative selling methodologies to boost revenues.
• Conduct regular territory/account reviews with Sales Management.
• Provide timely and precise account status reports, forecasts, and business plans to sales leadership and operational teams as needed.
• Travel frequently within your territory to schedule sales calls with both existing and prospective customers.
• Participate in account-specific trade shows and other events deemed beneficial for business development in line with your account plan.
• Cultivate customer trust through effective consulting, accurate information delivery, and nurturing partnerships from junior staff to senior leaders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• 5+ years of successful sales and account management experience in Federal/DoD accounts, ideally with the United States Air Force.
• Direct experience with the Air Force in communications (e.g., served in the US Air Force) can replace selling experience.
• A demonstrated history of quota attainment and/or successfully fulfilling mission requirements is essential.
• Familiarity with Federal contracting processes.
• Experience working with or selling ROIP, network, and security products.
• Solid understanding of voice, network, data, and security products and solutions.
• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and negotiation abilities.
• Capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to present a professional image of oneself and the company.
• Proficiency in handling customer inquiries and escalations professionally.
• Comprehensive knowledge of computer and related business applications, including MS Office.
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable vehicle as required by transportation needs in the market.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
• Must be self-motivated and able to organize workloads and manage deadlines effectively.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET Clearance.
• Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
