This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of and implement a detailed territory strategy that effectively balances new business development with renewal and expansion initiatives.
• Identify and connect with potential clients through targeted, data-driven outreach efforts.
• Approach tasks with the mindset of a master strategist—foreseeing actions, planning outcomes, and nurturing relationships that can reveal future opportunities.
• Build and enhance relationships with various stakeholders within a district.
• Act as a strategic collaborator for district leaders, providing valuable insights and solutions.
• Adopt a proactive and persistent approach in outreach and follow-up activities.
• Conduct thorough discovery sessions to comprehend district requirements and customize presentations and proposals accordingly.
• Initiate and oversee pilot programs to showcase product value.
• Prepare and deliver proposals for renewals and upsells.
• Cultivate strong interdepartmental collaborations and leverage expertise in specific subject areas.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
• A proven history of 2-5+ years of achievement in both new business development and account management roles.
• Experience in the education technology or services sector, particularly with literacy/reading products, is highly preferred.
• A comprehensive understanding of the K–12 education landscape, including funding mechanisms, leadership frameworks, and instructional priorities.
• Proven capability to build and sustain relationships with various stakeholders, including Superintendents, Directors, and Curriculum Leaders.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, with the talent to tailor messaging for diverse audiences and leadership styles.
• Resilient, self-driven, and comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to think strategically and act consultatively rather than merely transactionally.
• Willingness and capability to travel as required to engage with clients and participate in significant events.
• Proficient in navigating leadership transitions while ensuring continuity in relationships.
• A strong passion for literacy and educational equity, in line with our mission to “create opportunity for every student through the power of literacy.”
• Proficient in using CRM (Salesforce), MS Office, Google Suites, video conferencing tools, and other technology-based productivity applications.
