This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Act as the main contact for a diverse portfolio of private and public sector clients.
• Build and nurture strong, enduring relationships through proactive communication, effective problem-solving, and dedicated support.
• Oversee regular client interactions, including check-ins, usage assessments, feedback gathering, and solution-oriented updates.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of each client's requirements, priorities, and challenges to ensure alignment with ACLED’s products and services.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Data, Analysis, Data Science, Corporate Licensing, Operations Finance) to address client needs, resolve issues, and fulfill client requests.
• Record all client communications, feedback, and interactions in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to preserve accurate records and client histories.
• Oversee the renewal process for client subscriptions/data licenses, ensuring timely negotiations and contract finalization.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and work with the broader ACLED team to customize and present new services or products as necessary.
• Lead discussions regarding license scope, pricing, and contractual modifications in collaboration with ACLED’s Operations and Finance teams.
• Collaborate with the Access team to monitor usage trends and other critical metrics to guide client strategy and pinpoint areas for enhanced engagement.
• Assist with client-side procurement processes, including addressing vendor registration and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with Operations and Finance colleagues to guarantee all contracts, invoices, and documentation adhere to organizational standards.
• Supervise contract deliverables and terms to ensure compliance and support reporting requirements.
• Assist in coordinating audits, due diligence processes, and information requests related to account operations and agreements.
• At least 5 years of experience in account management, client success, business development, or fundraising, preferably with public sector or intergovernmental/multilateral organizations.
• Experience working with governmental, military, intelligence, and/or intergovernmental organizations, particularly in the realm of data provision or conflict-related research.
• Proven ability to establish and sustain long-term client relationships and manage large or complex accounts with multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with renewals, upselling, procurement, and contracting processes.
• Preferred knowledge of conflict data, political risk, or development/humanitarian data.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or policy field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration), or equivalent professional experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote and multicultural setting.
• Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
