This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.
• Lead the sales and business development strategy for major subsea accounts in the Asia Pacific and Japan regions, taking full ownership of customer relationships.
• Establish and maintain trusted executive-level relationships that enhance customer intimacy and reduce competitive threats.
• Develop and implement account strategies that achieve quarterly and annual goals for bookings, revenue, and margins.
• Drive the creation of opportunities, qualification processes, and pipeline growth, with a strong emphasis on execution and forecast precision.
• Collaborate with various Ciena teams, including executive leadership, product management, product marketing, legal, commercial, and sales operations, to execute complex global programs.
• Manage the complete sales and fulfillment processes for global customer engagements.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of customer network strategies, business motivations, and long-term investment priorities.
• Over 3 years of experience managing significant or global customer accounts with a demonstrated record of sales success.
• More than 5 years of experience in sales, systems engineering, product management, or a blend of these areas.
• Strong technical expertise in optical networking, along with a solid grasp of subsea networks.
• Proven experience in leading complex sales strategies and methodologies for large system sales.
• Exceptional business communication, presentation, and relationship management skills at the executive level.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities while fostering new business growth and exceeding goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
