This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee and expand an assigned portfolio of wholesale accounts while identifying new business opportunities within the sector.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive account intelligence, including key buyers, influencers, distribution models, source markets, customer demographics, seasonality, contracting requirements, production history, competitive landscape, and subsequent actions.
• Create and implement account strategies that promote revenue growth across leisure, transient, group, package, extended stay, and project-based segments.
• Identify and qualify new wholesale, tour operator, receptive operator, travel distributors, bed banks, consortia, and similar accounts with potential for Hyatt hotels.
• Inform wholesale buyers about Hyatt brands, hotel features, destination compatibility, pricing structures, service standards, and solutions tailored to their business needs.
• Collaborate with hotel sales teams, operators, revenue management, distribution, and commercial stakeholders to align customer opportunities with hotel objectives and profitability targets.
• Assist in customer negotiations, contracting discussions, hotel communications, and opportunity follow-ups with promptness and meticulous attention to detail.
• Stay informed on wholesale travel trends, source market dynamics, booking timelines, demand patterns, market conditions, forecasts, and competitive insights.
• Utilize CRM systems, sourcing platforms, analytics, and industry tools to log activities, prioritize opportunities, and assess account performance.
• Advocate for Hyatt initiatives and priorities with wholesale customers as needed, including new hotel launches, focus hotels, Essentials brands, and special projects.
• Amplify the voice of the wholesale customer within Hyatt and engage in cross-functional projects that align with National Sales priorities.
• Manage account transitions, hotel referrals, and opportunity transfers to ensure effective execution across Hyatt teams.
• At least 5 years of experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, account management, wholesale sales, travel trade sales, or similar commercial roles.
• Proven experience engaging with wholesale, tour operator, receptive operator, travel distributor, consortia, bed banks, or similar travel trade accounts.
• Comprehensive understanding of wholesale market dynamics, including contracting, distribution models, source markets, booking behaviors, rate integrity, customer expectations, and hotel profitability factors.
• Strong sales acumen and business development experience across transient, leisure, group, package, extended stay, or project-based business.
• Demonstrated capability to manage a portfolio of accounts while also cultivating new business opportunities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and follow-through skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple customers, priorities, opportunities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with CRM and/or database management systems.
• Familiarity with customer sourcing, booking, contracting, or distribution tools and platforms used in hotel sales, wholesale travel, or travel trade sectors.
• Experience with industry data tools such as Knowland Group, Amadeus Hotelligence Suite, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms.
