This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Oversee business relationships with designated clients, including aspects like pricing, contract modifications/extensions, forecasting, business evaluations, and customer service concerns.
• Establish account objectives and implement account strategies for effective management and business expansion.
• Propel initiatives to achieve or surpass financial goals.
• Collaborate with teams across Customer Service, Commercial Operations, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Project Management.
• Seek cross-selling opportunities alongside other Catalent sales teams.
• Build the sales pipeline through prospecting, outreach, fostering relationships, and lead qualification using Salesforce.
• Manage opportunities from inception to completion, encompassing scoping, pricing strategies, customer credit, confidentiality agreements, negotiations, and closing deals.
• Transition closed deals to project managers and product development teams.
• Conduct capability assessments, site visits, business updates, and innovation discussions with clients.
• Prepare and present customer-facing presentations, following up on inquiries, opportunities, and challenges.
• Collect and evaluate competitive intelligence from trade shows, articles, newsletters, and customer feedback.
• Leverage market intelligence to enhance Catalent’s competitive standing.
• Complete training, monitor opportunities, submit expense reports, manage time off, and adhere to travel, gift, confidentiality, and ethics policies.
• Engage in annual goal setting, career development, continuous learning, feedback, and mentorship.
• Travel 25–50% to Catalent locations, client sites, trade shows, and industry events.
• Execute additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
• A BS/BA degree is mandatory.
• At least 3 years of experience in a business development capacity.
• Relevant experience in the outsourcing sector (CMO, CRO, CSO), preferably within the nutritional dietary supplements field.
• Exceptional oral and written communication as well as presentation abilities.
• Competence in organizing and planning tasks, managing travel, and juggling multiple priorities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of cross-functional teams.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 50% to visit clients, attend trade shows, partake in training, and meet clients at Catalent manufacturing sites.
• A valid passport is required.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is preferred.
• This position necessitates remote work and is not eligible for relocation assistance.
