
Account Executive – Splunk Commercial – SLED

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +4 more states.
• Expand and enhance territories for Splunk Public Sector within Commercial SLED accounts
• Identify and execute lead-generation activities to promote Splunk software
• Follow up on incoming leads and update their status in the company's CRM system
• Engage in outbound prospecting and lead generation efforts
• Assess and qualify both inbound and outbound leads
• Arrange product demonstrations for interested and qualified customers
• Manage client accounts by developing and nurturing relationships through personalized interactions
• Comprehend client needs and convey the value of products and services effectively
• Provide accurate forecasts of opportunities based on realistic evaluations
• Achieve or surpass assigned revenue targets
• Collaborate with a field representative
• Assist in attending field marketing events, such as Splunk Lives, the National Users Conference, and regional trade shows
• Take ownership of the entire sales process and cycle from inception to completion
• 4+ years of experience in selling enterprise IT solutions, including BI, data analytics, security software, risk management software, or networking performance solutions
• Preferred 1+ years of experience in selling IT solutions to SLED and/or Federal accounts
• Experience in consultative sales
• Proven ability to discover and develop new opportunities with prospects and existing clients
• Proficient in cold calling and business development
• Demonstrated history of exceeding sales goals and quotas
• Consistent success in consultative sales environments
• Established record of generating new business and managing the sales cycle from lead generation to closing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong logical and analytical thinking capabilities
• Proven negotiation skills
• High technical aptitude
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with CRM systems, Word, and Excel; familiarity with Salesforce.com is a plus
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously while also contributing to a team
• Excellent conflict resolution abilities
• Highly motivated and professional, with outstanding interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Science, or equivalent professional experience
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
