This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Identify and pursue new publisher opportunities across all verticals that qualify for Mediavine and its various programs and offerings.
• Present the Mediavine solution to potential clients and successfully close business that meets or surpasses the targets set by the VP of Publisher Development.
• Efficiently build and manage individual sales pipelines by actively engaging with both new and existing leads through innovative follow-up strategies to enhance interest and enthusiasm.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the ad tech landscape.
• Cultivate and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Mediavine’s products and services.
• Proactively reach out to web properties that meet Mediavine’s quality criteria.
• Establish, nurture, and sustain relationships with clients, serving as a point of contact and sounding board for those you have assisted in onboarding.
• Engage in strategic calling and messaging to uncover new business prospects.
• Manage inbound lead flow and implement outbound prospecting initiatives effectively.
• Set priorities for prospect outreach and determine the order of approach.
• Conduct introductory and discovery calls with publishers.
• Collaborate and contribute to the achievement of the publisher development and publisher success teams.
• Stay updated on competitor activities and industry trends, sharing insights proactively with the team.
• Provide assistance as a point of escalation for any arising issues, as necessary.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in Business/Publisher Development within the adtech, digital publishing, and/or technology sectors.
• Previous or current experience working remotely with a distributed team of stakeholders and customers.
• Familiarity with the blogging and web publishing community.
• Proven experience with the complete sales cycle and the ability to close deals effectively.
• Strong proficiency in Google Suite.
• Experience utilizing communication platforms such as Slack.
• Experience working with CRMs like Hubspot, Salesforce, etc.
• Understanding of the online marketing and advertising sectors.
• Knowledge of sales and account management best practices, both inbound and outbound, with the flexibility to adjust communication methods to attain goals.
• Ability to comprehend customer needs and guide conversations to provide the most relevant information during each interaction.
• Proven ability to effectively present a value proposition.
• Capability to achieve sales targets in collaboration with executives and other key stakeholders within the organization.
• Strong relationship management skills with both internal and external contacts.
• Ability to offer constructive feedback and ideas to the overall team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Willingness to travel as needed for business opportunities, including the annual All Hands Retreat, team retreats/meetings, and/or industry events/conferences (approximately 30%).
