This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
• Taking full ownership of the sales cycle from start to finish.
• Identifying strategic targets within the Public sector and proactively prospecting when necessary.
• Preparing for and meeting with prospects in advance of RfPs (requests for proposals).
• Responding to pertinent RfPs, which includes a significant written and project management component.
• Preparing for and engaging in oral presentations.
• After a successful bid, managing Alan's deployment in collaboration with the Key Account Manager to ensure high satisfaction among admins and members.
• Contributing to the development of the playbook through innovative problem-solving and the introduction of new strategies.
• Assisting the team in standardizing and streamlining our RfP response process to enhance efficiency and improve win rates.
• Providing market insights and competitive intelligence to guide Alan's public sector strategy, along with consolidating RfP debriefs, client expectations, and competitive differentiators.
• Working together with Product and Ops teams to ensure Alan's offerings remain competitive and customized for Public accounts.
• Sharing information, debriefs, and lessons learned with the Public Sector team to foster collective improvement.
• CRM: helping to establish the appropriate setup in Salesforce to monitor sales activities within the public segment and ensuring data accuracy for the entire team.
• Previous experience in leading change management initiatives: transforming mindsets (e.g., from paper-based to digital-first, and from viewing insurance as a commodity to recognizing it as a health enabler) is crucial for success in the Public sector.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills: the ability to cultivate and sustain trust in a relationship-focused sector.
• Willingness to engage in on-the-ground activities: face-to-face interactions are highly valued by Public sector organizations.
• Strong interest in understanding the Belgian public sector structure, procurement processes, and key stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with uncertainty in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative attitude, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and communities.
• Full working proficiency in Dutch (C2 and above), including in formal settings, and advanced proficiency in English.
• You should be based in Belgium or willing to relocate there.
• Full working proficiency in French is a distinct advantage; prior experience with RfPs is also a major plus; exceptional project management skills demonstrating meticulous attention to detail; adaptability and resilience in navigating the complexities of the public sector sales cycle; familiarity with Salesforce CRM.
