This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee and support client persistency for a specific portfolio in the South Texas region.
• Act as the pharmacy subject matter expert (SME) for the Medical Sales team, delivering continuous education and enhancing pharmacy expertise through training programs.
• Engage with clients to evaluate performance metrics and present a comprehensive range of pharmacy management solutions aimed at lowering overall healthcare expenses.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to boost pharmacy earnings contributions by fostering strong client relationships and collaborating strategically with Medical Sales associates.
• Collaborate across functions with Medical Sales, underwriting, and key stakeholders to aid in pricing, renewal strategies, and competitive positioning to maintain and expand business.
• Manage external communications related to pharmacy programs, working with operational and support teams to ensure consistency.
• Lead or assist in client and broker meetings, including discussions on service issues and serving as an escalation point for pharmacy-related inquiries.
• Participate in finalist presentations for both new and existing business opportunities as required.
• Analyze pharmacy utilization patterns to offer consultative recommendations and address follow-up queries from clients.
• Develop a thorough understanding of client needs, goals, and objectives to provide customized solutions.
• Offer pricing, audit, and contract assistance to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Interpret and convey pharmacy coverage policies in collaboration with clinical partners.
• Perform additional tasks as necessary to enhance client satisfaction and meet business goals.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or consulting, meeting client expectations.
• Familiarity with consultative client management approaches.
• Demonstrated capability to manage renewals independently with minimal oversight.
• Ability to navigate and utilize the wider organization to enhance client support.
• A self-driven individual exhibiting ownership, adaptability, accountability, and responsibility.
• Operational knowledge and competency with the PBM business model.
• Understanding of the financial and pricing strategies related to PBM.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation abilities in group environments.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft applications.
• Residing in the Houston, Dallas, or San Antonio, TX area.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time based on the candidate’s location with little or no prior notice.
