This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the designated sales territory.
• Foster and expand existing customer accounts through consistent communication, meetings, and business evaluations.
• Develop and implement sales strategies aimed at increasing revenue, enhancing customer value, and improving contributions.
• Assist with bids, pricing negotiations, customer proposals, and contract opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including the Trades department (pricing/rates), Customer Service department, Operations department, and Sales department.
• Keep track of market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activities to inform sales strategy.
• Comply with OOCL’s competition compliance policies and procedures in all business operations.
• Represent OOCL in a professional manner during customer interactions and industry-related events.
• At least 4 years of sales experience in ocean transportation, steamship, freight forwarding, logistics, or a similar transportation sector.
• Previous experience in outside sales, territory sales, or account management is preferred.
• Must reside in or around Charlotte, NC.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time, or as required.
• A valid driver’s license and a dependable vehicle are mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
