This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Oversee and strategize your success by identifying and securing customer acquisition throughout the territory.
• Propel top-line revenue growth by acquiring new customers.
• Directly sell Skillsoft solutions to government decision-makers.
• Achieve success by promoting a solution line(s) that feature key competitive advantages.
• Influence senior leadership prospects effectively.
• Collaborate with related sales, marketing, and support teams to successfully advance critical opportunities and enhance market penetration.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of Skillsoft's sales strategies.
• Prepare for meetings with thorough research, agreed-upon agendas with prospects, and tailored presentations, coupled with exceptional follow-up.
• Define and outline measurable business objectives and goals with timelines regarding revenue and growth within the federal sector.
• Provide management with insights, feedback, and recommendations concerning pipeline health, risk assessment, opportunities, and overall progress.
• At least 5+ years of direct sales experience, focusing on SaaS, B2B, and enterprise software sales to VP, SVP, and C-Level Executives, with an impressive quota attainment record.
• Experience in selling to the Australian Federal Government, as well as State Governments.
• Background in the learning, human capital, or human capital technology sectors is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Proficient in demonstrating solutions and articulating the corporate buyers' language, while respectfully challenging their perspectives.
• Capable of collaborating and leveraging subject matter expertise in a matrixed sales environment.
• Ability to work with urgency, be assertive, competitive, and maintain a positive, winning mindset.
• Negotiate effectively based on value and time to close deals.
• Understand complex client needs and articulate the company’s offerings clearly to develop tailored solutions.
• Expert knowledge of Salesforce.com.
• Willingness to take ownership and resolve issues proactively.
