
Account Executive – EMEA Lab & Production Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Create and implement sales strategies and plans for the designated region – France.
• Initiate engagement with the R&D and HW/SW Development teams of target accounts to showcase VIAVI’s product offerings and their key values & differentiators.
• Assess customer inquiries and identify the appropriate products and solutions to present.
• Comprehend customers’ pain points and challenges by fostering an environment that encourages open discussion about their issues.
• Act as a trusted advisor and solution-selling expert to our channel partners in the region.
• Utilize metrics for effective funnel management to prioritize prospecting, develop sales opportunities, and enhance sales bookings growth.
• Attend sales forecast meetings and ensure preparation and maintenance of forecast data in the CRM system.
• Develop, communicate, and sustain the regional sales plan while proactively managing recovery strategies when deviations arise.
• Establish alignment with key customers and industry stakeholders, networking up to the C-level.
• Represent the voice of the customer for VIAVI Solutions’ Global product line teams to foster continuous evolution of solutions that align with local market demands.
• Take complete responsibility for driving sales bookings and meeting established sales targets.
• A Bachelor’s or University degree in fields such as Optics, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications/Communications Engineering, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in direct account selling and management.
• Experience with sales channels will be considered advantageous.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving and surpassing set goals.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to help customers shift their perspective from challenges to understanding the value we provide.
• Familiarity with the regional technology market, customer verticals, and trends in the T&M industry.
• Technical experience and/or comprehension of IP/Optical high-speed networking fundamentals, underlying technologies, and market drivers.
• Proven leadership abilities to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and sales channels; capacity to devise and implement joint strategies that foster win-win outcomes.
• Willingness and capability to lead internal cross-functional global teams in a diverse and complex business setting.
• Outgoing personality with strong social skills, self-motivated, proactive, creative, and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication skills in speaking, writing, and presentations.
• Willingness to travel within the region, up to 50% of the time.
• Proficiency in both French and English languages.
