This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Achieve designated targets and goals.
• Act as the primary contact for all specified districts.
• Establish strong relationships with stakeholders across all accounts.
• Engage with customers to address concerns and identify gaps.
• Build district contacts and foster relationships at all levels to enhance Scholastic's position, resulting in significant growth within targeted accounts.
• Gather account information on organizational structure (parent and subsidiaries), purchasing processes, compensation methods, and existing products/tools to create a prospective business report that highlights necessary activities for account closure.
• Maintain regular engagement with the account base, increasing revenue through the positioning and demonstration of new and existing products, preparing suitable RFPs, and successfully closing sales.
• Generate, develop, manage, and communicate expectations within assigned accounts, while expanding the scope of engagement in each account.
• Qualify new opportunities and prospects, assess the potential size of opportunities, and articulate closure probabilities.
• Keep comprehensive and accurate records within the company’s CRM module for all activities.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of company products and their capabilities in comparison to the strengths and weaknesses of competitor products.
• Willingness to travel up to 60%.
• Over 10 years of experience in educational-related fields.
• At least 1 year of experience in strategically selling across territories, generating and closing large opportunities.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and annual goals.
• A demonstrated track record of selling and cultivating relationships with high-level customers.
• Proven success in enhancing Customer Experience to the highest levels.
• Preference will be given to candidates with well-established relationships.
• Bachelor's degree or a higher level of education is preferred.
• Familiarity with Academic Curriculum.
• Proficient in MS Office software; experience with Sales Automation, Customer Relationship Management, or web-based software programs is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective oral presentation abilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills with colleagues, superiors (across functions and throughout the company), and customers.
