📋 Description

• At Smeetz, we are committed to transforming how visitor attractions handle their sales and enhance their revenue. As a comprehensive commerce Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform powered by AI, we offer attractions like theme parks, museums, and theaters an all-in-one solution to manage, market, and price their offerings effectively.

• We are a rapidly growing SaaS startup in search of a motivated and commercially astute Account Executive to bolster our presence in Switzerland and foster growth throughout the broader DACH region. This role operates on a unique Hire-to-Convert model: you will initially manage high-value Swiss and DACH accounts during a team member's maternity leave (June–October 2026), while already allocating approximately 40% of your time to sales prospecting — transitioning into a dedicated Sales role from November 2026 onward.

• As our Swiss/DACH AE, you will oversee opportunities from beginning to end — from initial contact to signed contract — and play a vital role in solidifying Smeetz's reputation as the premier AI-driven commerce platform for attractions in Switzerland and beyond. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Sales, Marketing, Product, and Implementation to drive significant growth in one of our most strategic regions.

Key responsibilities:

Phase 1 — Dual Role (June–October 2026): Act as the primary Account Manager (~60%) for high-value Swiss/DACH accounts during maternity leave — managing renewals, upsells, Business Reviews, and ensuring client satisfaction — while dedicating approximately 40% to prospecting, pipeline development, and networking.

Phase 2 — Full Sales (November 2026+): Transition to a dedicated Sales role for Switzerland and the wider DACH region, capitalizing on 4 months of client interaction and industry connections to accelerate pipeline development and secure new business.

Generate new business opportunities: Identify, prospect, and qualify leads across Switzerland and DACH — utilizing inbound, outbound, and your AM-period network to establish a robust pipeline from Phase 1 onwards.

Manage the full sales cycle: Take ownership of the complete acquisition process — from outbound outreach and discovery to demos, proposals, negotiations, and closing — before handing over to Implementation.

Enhance Swiss & DACH market presence: Track market trends, competition, and customer needs in Switzerland and DACH to inform Smeetz's go-to-market strategy and facilitate expansion into new segments.

Develop the market through field presence: Represent Smeetz at key trade shows, conferences, and associations within the Swiss and DACH attractions, leisure, and cultural sectors to strengthen relationships and create new opportunities.

Travel to cultivate relationships and secure deals: Visit prospects and clients throughout Switzerland and the DACH region, attend industry events and conferences, and participate in internal meet-ups with the commercial team. Use in-person time to deepen connections and expedite deals.

Collaborate cross-functionally: Share customer insights with Product and work with Marketing to tailor materials for the Swiss and DACH markets.

Embrace AI and automation: Actively utilize and contribute to Smeetz's AI-driven tools and workflows — we automate everything and expect you to incorporate AI into your daily responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

Language skills: Native-level German (mandatory). Swiss-German and French are strong advantages for managing bilingual Swiss accounts. Fluency in English is required for internal collaboration.

Experience: Demonstrated full-cycle AE, AM, or closing experience in B2B SaaS; experience selling to hospitality, leisure, ticketing, or attractions is a considerable advantage.

Industry knowledge: Extensive familiarity with the leisure, attractions, or cultural sectors is a significant plus (e.g., background in attractions, competitors, or OTAs).

Sales ownership: Comfortable taking full ownership of the sales process from discovery and demos to negotiation and closing.

Account management capability: Able to manage existing client relationships thoughtfully — handling renewals, upsells, and Business Reviews during coverage.

Pipeline mindset: Strong skills in building, managing, and prioritizing a healthy pipeline through structured prospecting and qualification.

Tools: Familiarity with CRM systems (ideally HubSpot), modern sales tools (e.g., Sales Navigator, Clay), and AI assistants like Claude.

Commercial acumen: Confident in engaging in complex commercial discussions with senior stakeholders and customizing value propositions to align with their priorities.

Mindset: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, resilient, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced scale-up environment.

Communication & presence: Clear and persuasive communicator with strong executive presence and the ability to establish trust quickly.
