This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee and enhance client persistency for a specific portfolio of business within the Midwest market, focusing mainly on Chicago.
• Act as the pharmacy subject matter expert (SME) for the Medical Sales team, delivering ongoing education and promoting pharmacy knowledge through training programs.
• Engage with clients to assess performance metrics and present a comprehensive range of pharmacy management solutions aimed at reducing total healthcare expenditures.
• Recognize and pursue opportunities to improve pharmacy earnings contributions by fostering strong client relationships and collaborating strategically with Medical Sales partners.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Sales, underwriting, and key stakeholders to enhance pricing, renewal strategies, and competitive positioning for business retention and growth.
• Manage external communications regarding pharmacy programs, working with operational and support teams to ensure consistency.
• Lead or assist in client and broker meetings, including discussions on service issues and serving as an escalation point for pharmacy-related inquiries.
• Take part in finalist presentations for new and existing business opportunities as necessary.
• Evaluate pharmacy utilization trends to offer consultative recommendations and address follow-up questions from clients.
• Develop a thorough understanding of client needs, goals, and objectives to provide customized solutions.
• Offer pricing, audit, and contract support to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clinical partners to interpret and communicate pharmacy coverage policies.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required to enhance client satisfaction and achieve business objectives.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or consulting, supporting client needs.
• Familiarity with consultative client management methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage renewals with minimal supervision.
• Capability to navigate and utilize the broader organization to better serve clients.
• A self-driven individual exhibiting ownership, adaptability, accountability, and responsibility.
• Operational knowledge and proficiency in the PBM business model.
• Understanding of the financial and pricing strategies of PBM.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills in group environments.
• Proficient technical skills in all Microsoft programs.
• Residing in Illinois or surrounding states.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
