This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Strategize, design, develop, and execute various sales initiatives by understanding the needs and demands of customers.
• Ensure the retention and maintenance of existing clients while actively pursuing new customer acquisition.
• Guarantee that all sales and marketing efforts are conducted within the established budgets, volumes, sales targets, and timelines.
• Take proactive measures to devise constructive and effective solutions to any challenges that may hinder export processes and operations.
• Regularly assess distributor performance and oversee their activities to provide relevant insights to management.
• Participate in meetings with other firms to negotiate partnerships that contribute to the overall growth and advancement of the business.
• Conduct market research, perform surveys, and analyze competitors’ sales and marketing strategies.
• Develop innovative strategies to help the organization gain a competitive edge by focusing on priority target countries.
• Propose and negotiate sales, pricing, and terms for assigned accounts and prospective customers.
• Evaluate product purchasing alternatives, including identifying optimal market pricing, supplier choices, and conducting plant visits to ensure compliance with supplier standards.
• Actively engage in training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with key decision-makers at target accounts.
• Accountable for all sales outcomes at designated and targeted accounts.
• Responsible for managing accounts receivable collections for each assigned account.
• Oversee pricing and margin management for assigned accounts.
• Attend trade shows and exhibitions.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Strong financial and business analytical skills.
• Proficient in computer applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AS 400.
• Solid understanding of categories and product knowledge.
• Effective negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, along with the capability to foster relationships.
• Competency in pricing (cost to retail) strategies.
