This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Operates under general supervision to oversee the strategic, marketing, and business development efforts for products, clients, and services within the designated product line or portfolio.
• Identifies and cultivates new product and sales opportunities to fulfill customer requirements, delivering sales presentations aimed at generating new business.
• Develops business strategy proposals for senior management that address market opportunities informed by market trends and forecasting.
• May guide and mentor junior Account Executives.
• Formulates and executes sales and/or marketing strategies tailored for specific accounts, territories, and industry verticals.
• Charged with the responsibility of acquiring new accounts and enhancing existing ones.
• Secures new orders to meet sales targets.
• Acts as the primary liaison for assigned products, services, and clients within the designated product line.
• Accountable for achieving committed revenue and operating income for the Product Line on an annual basis.
• Proposes product applications and solutions to ensure that product and service deliveries align with customer expectations.
• Effectively engages with all customers to negotiate contracts and share essential information.
• Cultivates and sustains robust, long-term customer relationships, gaining insight into their needs and business goals.
• Develops economic scenarios to assist senior management in evaluating and validating critical business decisions.
• Facilitates the sharing of information to ensure all business stakeholders enhance their competencies and performance in accordance with customer expectations.
• Manages estimates and oversees contract modifications to ensure each transaction meets the targeted profit margin.
• Participates in and supports trade shows and industry events as necessary.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 7 years of relevant experience is required, or equivalent work experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Familiarity with the company's product needs.
• Knowledge of proposal development and business case writing.
• Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and customer needs.
• Proficiency in interpreting data to make informed decisions.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of staff, management, vendors, and customers.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
