This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive new business by identifying and reaching out to higher education institutions through cold outreach, conferences, networking, and referrals.
• Collaborate with BDRs and Marketing to design and execute targeted lead-generation campaigns.
• Present engaging product demonstrations and presentations to highlight the advantages of our SaaS solutions.
• Build and sustain robust, long-term relationships with customers, serving as their main point of contact.
• Facilitate a consultative purchasing process with customers, ensuring their success and satisfaction.
• Oversee and monitor sales activities within the CRM, ensuring precise forecasting.
• Ensure that deals progress smoothly through the sales funnel with appropriate qualification at each step.
• Lead negotiations and renewals of contracts, ensuring alignment with both customer requirements and company objectives.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to develop competitive packaging and pricing strategies.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to uncover growth opportunities.
• Work closely with the Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to promote company-wide success.
• Travel 20% - 40% within your territory throughout the year, with occasional trips to our Amsterdam headquarters.
• Over 5 years of B2B or B2G SaaS sales experience, with a proven track record of achieving targets.
• At least 2 years of experience in EdTech and/or Education, within higher education, K12 education, corporate L&D, and/or workforce training.
• Proven experience with average contract values (ACV) of 50K+, including examples of six-figure deals.
• Ability to self-generate a sales pipeline – experience sourcing 40-50% (or more) of top-of-funnel opportunities, with the remainder originating from BDRs and Marketing.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills – capable of simplifying complex concepts and effectively closing strategic deals.
• Self-motivated and adaptable – thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Possesses a growth mindset – open to receiving and giving feedback, and evolving as a salesperson.
• Proficient in CRM systems – experienced in managing sales pipelines and tracking performance.
