This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.
• Identify and create new business opportunities by engaging in cold calling, networking, and various lead generation initiatives.
• Establish and maintain relationships with transportation directors and key decision-makers within the K-12 education sector.
• Perform product demonstrations and presentations to highlight the value and functionalities of BusPlanner’s suite of software solutions.
• Partner with the marketing and sales teams to devise and implement strategies aimed at targeting prospective clients.
• Oversee the sales process from the initial contact to closing the deal, ensuring a seamless and successful onboarding experience for new clients.
• Contribute to the development of systems and processes, including the creation of the CRM and other tracking tools.
• Keep comprehensive and precise records of sales activities and client interactions within the CRM system.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor actions, and market changes to uncover new business opportunities.
• Utilize your entrepreneurial mindset to spot and seize new business opportunities.
• Experience rapid career advancement with significant opportunities for growth and leadership roles.
• A strong desire to establish and expand a sales organization.
• Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to clearly and compellingly articulate complex software solutions to a variety of audiences.
• Sales Experience: A proven track record of 3-5+ years in edtech or govtech sales.
• Relationship-Building Expertise: Proficiency in developing and sustaining strong client relationships, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the K-12 education sector, especially in student transportation, is advantageous (but not mandatory).
• Tech-Savvy & Highly Organized: Skilled in utilizing CRM software and other sales tools to effectively manage and streamline the sales process.
• Resilience and Adaptability: Ability to excel in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and adjust to evolving market conditions and client requirements.
