This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Proactively seek out midsize to larger school districts to enhance market presence, identify untapped growth potential, and implement focused outreach strategies for new product offerings and services.
• Discover and pursue opportunities to present complementary products and services that meet additional client needs within current accounts.
• Advocate for and sell standards-aligned special education math curriculum, science-backed reading curriculum, digital learning solutions, and professional learning resources tailored for diverse learner requirements.
• Identify and interact with K–12 administrators and decision-makers to promote the adoption of literacy and math solutions.
• Deliver engaging, customized presentations that showcase the value and effectiveness of literacy and math products to each potential client.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including superintendents, curriculum directors, and literacy coaches, to understand district challenges and propose targeted solutions.
• Manage and prioritize opportunities, ensuring prompt follow-up and consistent advancement through the sales process.
• Lead negotiations, address concerns, and finalize deals to achieve or surpass revenue objectives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor actions, and education policy to guide sales strategies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment on market needs and drive growth.
• Maintain in-depth product knowledge across curriculum and professional learning offerings through continuous training and development.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• K–12 education experience preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of EdTech sales experience, specifically targeting K–12 market segments.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, cold-call, and independently generate new business opportunities.
• Strong consultative selling skills, with the capability to efficiently qualify/disqualify accounts and develop tailored solutions.
• Knowledge of literacy instruction methodologies, reading intervention strategies, and science-based reading practices.
• Familiarity with multisensory math programs and a commitment to maximizing student potential.
• Proven success in selling to midsize to larger K–12 districts, including navigating complex procurement processes and securing multi-year contracts.
• Extensive existing network of contacts within district administration levels.
• Ability to create and execute strategic territory plans aligned with district priorities.
• Resilient and patient in managing longer sales cycles and complex decision-making environments.
• Results-oriented with a history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting platforms.
• Comfortable utilizing AI and eager to enhance AI literacy as new tools emerge.
• Adaptable and effective in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
