This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise and lead the planning, research, content creation, and strategic development of intricate projects.
• Serve as a trusted consultant to clients and external partners involved in the client’s business, as well as collaborate with internal project teams.
• Assume responsibility and accountability for significant projects, encompassing both the work and the processes involved.
• Generate momentum within the team to produce high-quality outputs and pinpoint opportunities for growth.
• Anticipate future opportunities and the necessary next steps, highlight risks, and devise solutions for how the team can address or overcome them.
• Offer guidance and constructive feedback to junior team members regarding their daily and ongoing tasks; mentor them for professional development within the team.
• Design and execute process improvement initiatives in strategic and innovative manners.
• Prioritize and assign tasks and requirements as necessary.
• Exemplify and promote the company's values.
• Influence decision-making and facilitate change.
• Participate in the recruitment and onboarding process for new team members.
• Contribute to the business development process, including fostering organic growth.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in communications, graphic design, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years in communications and/or design roles; experience in health-related fields is preferred.
• Previous experience at a communications firm and/or in government or government consulting is preferred.
• Strong preference for candidates with multimedia/video expertise.
• Must be familiar with federal accessibility standards for digital products.
• A Ph.D. may replace 3 years of required experience with a master’s degree or 4 years with a bachelor’s degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Action-oriented, organized, proactive, and flexible approach to complex account and team management and development.
• Proven history of fostering team and client relationships and delivering successful programs.
• Extensive exposure to various skill areas, including strategic communications, marketing, public relations, digital strategy, business development in news, writing and presentations, media relations, and consultative selling.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to customer service.
