Account Development Manager

📋 Description

• Oversees the onboarding process for new and existing agents, ensuring they receive the necessary training and development related to SVP ancillary products and services.

• Collaborates closely with Foundation BDMs on both new and existing agents and accounts, reviewing pipeline opportunities and business acquisitions through the agent channel.

• Partners with agents to anticipate future needs, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling SVP products to enhance customer loyalty, retention, and sales.

• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of various agencies, agent channels, product channels, and coverage variances, identifying white label programs by brand, agency, and product to assess program enhancements and limitations.

• Has a solid grasp of different VSCs and product offerings from all agent partners, enabling effective training at the dealer level on corresponding F&I offerings, including SVP products (training on package selling Sonsio products).

• Understands agent, TPA, and dealer directives, acting as a trusted partner and advisor.

• Assists agents and dealers with operational tasks, business needs, and various requests (e.g., dealer login resets, updates on new and terminated dealer personnel, product enhancements, pricing adjustments, product information requests, POS materials, etc.).

• Engages in daily and weekly collaboration check-ins and follow-ups with all agents for a proactive partnership, which includes in-person field visits and various virtual training as needed.

• Collaborates with agents and dealers to facilitate new store installations of designated programs and support services.

• Familiar with various TPA menu portals, including Gold Standard, C. Berman, Americredit, and upcoming partnerships such as Veritas, Portfolio, NTP, HWG.

• Provides extensive PCRS+ training at dealer and agent levels (coming soon), currently focusing on DAP training.

• Negotiates and secures top menu shelf space for SVP products and services at both agent and dealer levels.

• Implements and delivers agent cross-region training on SVP products and services to cover overlapping territories.

• Responsible for dealership commitment, fostering high-level relationships with executive management teams at dealerships, including GM, GSM, F&I Director, Service Director, and Service Writers on business planning, goal setting, value selling, and retention activities.

• Identifies channels in PowerBi to analyze areas for improvement and growth, recognizing high-performing agents and dealers.

• Provides performance metrics to identify opportunities for both agents and dealers (increasing signed vs. selling, evaluating brand successes and opportunities, and suggesting changes where necessary).

• Conducts meetings with agents and dealers to report on activity, trends, overall service results, and recommends actions to improve performance and mitigate risks.

• Works alongside the National Sales Director and Division VP, attending various agent/TPA, dealer sales conferences, and regional meetings.

• Collaborates with internal corporate colleagues to ensure the highest service delivery level and to address potential issues.

• Stays updated on industry knowledge through ongoing education and development to enhance the perceived value of our company and its services.

• Monitors and communicates competitive information, including pricing, policies, and market strategies for both dealers and agent/TPA partners.

• Fully comprehends all SVP programs, capable of delivering presentations and training sessions, and overcoming program objections representing SVP offerings.

• Proactively identifies and resolves customer sales, service, and claims issues, working closely with Sonsio CSR’s on all escalated claims.

• Keeps informed about current competitive activities.

• Manages and plans the calendar schedule accordingly, 30-60-90 days in advance.

• Oversees travel and expenses in accordance with company guidelines (e.g., flights, hotels, rental cars, meals, and client entertainment), adhering to T&E guideline agreements.

• Maintains sales and service activity, contact lists, and touchpoints in Salesforce.

• Achieves individual monthly sales objectives and quarterly MIT goals.

• Ensures all administrative tasks are completed promptly and accurately.

• Other duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Account Management or Business Development within the Auto Finance Industry.

• Must possess an in-depth understanding of the auto finance, lending, or service business.

• Experienced in delivering effective training and service support to dealership personnel.

• Ability to effectively build value and strengthen relationships at all levels of the dealership.

• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to interact across dealership management and within the company.

• Capable of prioritizing time, effort, and resources, adjusting objectives as needed.

• Experience working with Salesforce or a similar CRM tool.

• Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.

• Possesses strong assessment skills with the ability to think critically in the moment and add value.

• Must meet the requirements of Sonsio’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy and Company Vehicle Fleet Policy.
