This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute outreach initiatives that lead to the scheduling of qualified meetings for Business Development Leads in line with established KPIs.
• Assess existing account development procedures, messaging, and technologies, and suggest opportunities for enhancement.
• Aid in setting account development production expectations and metrics that are aligned with corporate objectives.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Leadership Team for performance evaluations, mentorship, and professional growth.
• Conduct territory outreach planning discussions with assigned BD personnel regarding newly identified accounts at a mutually agreed frequency.
• Pinpoint well-suited potential clients and contacts by utilizing defined "ideal account" profiles and tools such as Citeline, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, along with other news sources as triggers for new outreach efforts.
• Identify key stakeholders and decision-makers, introducing differentiators and capabilities that create opportunities to engage in the request for proposal and bid processes.
• Leverage activity and results data, including leads generated from the Marketing teams, to refine outreach messaging aimed at enhancing client response and engagement.
• Formulate and implement territory and account strategies that encompass thorough account and industry profiling alongside pipeline and therapeutic content.
• Initiate the sales process through communication (calls, emails, or direct mail), understanding prospective client requirements, introducing relevant services, and engaging Business Development with potential clients when they are ready for in-person meetings.
• Support conferences through targeted outreach prior to the event and follow up on leads generated during the conference.
• Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales activity reports for review with the Line Manager and Business Development executives.
• Ensure all activities are documented in Salesforce and HubSpot.
• Mentor and train new Inside Sales team members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a scientific or healthcare field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the CRO/pharmaceutical/biotech sector.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on occasion, including overnight stays.
• Experience in account development and sales is preferred.
• Postgraduate degree is preferred.
