This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• The FMS Account Coordinator will report directly to the Reimbursement Manager and will support the Financial Management Services program.
• Responsibilities include processing referrals, reaching out to clients, family members, vendors, and Regional Center Case Managers.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while engaging with vendors and regional center case managers concerning referrals, authorizations, and payments, as well as communicating with clients and their families.
• Serve as the primary contact for case managers, vendors, clients, and family members.
• Handle the processing, review, and tracking of referrals and authorizations.
• Maintain, input, update, research, and analyze patient account activities to ensure accuracy.
• Review patient accounts to identify any missing information and follow up to correct discrepancies.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are critical for the efficient operation of this organization.
• Collaborate closely with both regional center case managers and accounting departments.
• Prepare reports as necessary for census tracking and identifying unreconciled authorizations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• 1-2+ years of experience in customer service and billing.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and communication/phone skills are essential.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation is required.
• Capacity to handle significant amounts of data and make sound judgments.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, including with management.
• Proficiency in multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
• Competence in using Word, Excel, and Outlook (or similar email software applications).
