ABAP Developer, Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in all phases of the SAP S/4HANA application lifecycle, from the initial design to final deployment.

• Convert user needs into Technical Design Specifications.

• Create ABAP solutions that adhere to technical designs.

• Provide leadership or mentorship to other developers as required.

• Advocate for sustainable development practices.

• Perform code reviews.

• Assist in an SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation project for a significant government contract.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development and a comprehensive background in SAP for mid-level positions.

• Familiarity with S/4HANA.

• Practical experience in integrating both backend SAP and non-SAP applications.

• Direct experience with SAP ABAP development and HANA CDS Views.

• Experience in implementing SAP Fiori and the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

• Expertise in web services, proxies, and APIs.

• Knowledge of ABAP Reports, RFCs, Forms, Object-Oriented ABAP (OOP), BAPIs, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, BDC, LSMW, IDocs, ALE, and Workflows.

• Strong skills in debugging and optimizing the performance of ABAP programs.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to analyze issues and offer clear recommendations.

• Public Trust clearance is required.

• Ability to independently learn new UI technologies with minimal guidance and supervision.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Successful completion of a background check is necessary before onboarding.

• Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.

• Desired: Experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).

• Desired: Certifications in Application Development, SAP BTP, or Agile methodologies.
