Ab Initio Administrator, Systems Administrator 4

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee, monitor, and provide support for the Ab Initio platform and web applications within an on-premises setup.

• Install, set up, apply patches, and troubleshoot the Ab Initio Co>Operating System, EME, and associated services.

• Manage job execution and scheduling, oversee platform access, and handle data movement.

• Execute EME/TRMC TAG migrations and oversee project deployments across various environments.

• Handle patches, upgrades, and configuration updates across development, testing, and production environments.

• Collaborate with Ab Initio Support to address platform issues and ensure system stability.

• Conduct UNIX/Linux server patching and provide production support, including starting and stopping Ab Initio and related applications.

• Resolve user issues related to Ab Initio and web applications.

• Utilize ServiceNow to monitor incidents, submit change requests, and coordinate deployments.

• Offer after-hours incident support to maintain the continuity of essential USPS operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 8 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 14 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in Ab Initio administration or comparable enterprise ETL/data integration platforms.

• Proficient in UNIX/Linux administration or the ability to rapidly learn USPS-specific UNIX environments.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities for application, server, and environmental issues.

• Familiarity with enterprise ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.

• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

• Capability to obtain and maintain USPS clearance.

• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status (green card holder).

• Preferred: Experience in performing Ab Initio upgrades, patching, and environment migrations.

• Preferred: Knowledge of job scheduling tools such as Autosys or Control-M.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting large-scale enterprise data environments.
