This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborates in the creation and implementation of strategic business plans for Foremost and Bristol West products within the independent agency channel for designated states.
• Facilitates the execution of state distribution strategies, ensuring coherence with product and underwriting stakeholders.
• Guides the overall strategy of the state team to achieve profitable growth across various product lines.
• Leads the recruitment, development, training, and mentoring of field sales personnel.
• Develops and executes objectives, strategies, and action plans for the short, medium, and long term.
• Aids in the development of Territory Managers and growth plans for agencies.
• Manages the performance of direct reports.
• Designs and proposes training programs, policies, and practices to ensure a competent sales force.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates all sales-related initiatives to meet revenue targets.
• Formulates and oversees sales and marketing strategies and promotions to drive profitable sales growth.
• Identifies target markets and directs efforts in training, sales, marketing support, and research.
• Acts as an advocate by proposing new products, services, and field initiatives.
• Ensures regular, clear, and consistent cross-functional communication with product management, underwriting, executive leadership, and agency partners.
• Serves as a communication conduit between Foremost and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Partners with marketing and training teams to develop educational content and strategies.
• Responsible for the initiation, positioning, and distribution of products and their enhancements.
• Implements rate and product changes while ensuring effective communication and training.
• Evaluates industry trends to identify new opportunities and implements them efficiently.
• Utilizes quantitative insights to influence future products and pricing adjustments.
• Coordinates field-facing activities, programs, and promotions to align with business goals.
• Performs additional duties as assigned while contributing to the overall success of the zone and organization.
• Reviews quarterly updates on regional objectives and makes necessary adjustments to meet targets.
• Assesses and develops field sales objectives and plans to ensure sales goals are met.
• Monitors and reports on the progress of sales programs and contests to business unit management.
• Remains informed about competitive, legislative, and regulatory developments within assigned states.
• Ensures comprehension and application of technology in the sales process to optimize effectiveness.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
• At least seven years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally in sales, marketing, or distribution.
• Experience in leading and managing sales teams is preferred.
• Experience with IA Distribution in the Texas market is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Proven capabilities in leadership, critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, change management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build and manage effective teams.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others while promoting a high-performance culture within the team.
