This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Facilitate direct interactions with youth, both with and without disabilities, through the RHFSP Youth Leadership Committee, Difference Maker of the Year Awards, and the global Youth Leadership Network.
• Organize and implement the Difference Maker of the Year Awards, overseeing everything from nominations to post-award activities.
• Manage fair nomination reviews and collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to promote nominations.
• Act as the primary contact for award nominators, nominees, recipients, and members of the Youth Leadership Committee.
• Address inquiries related to the awards.
• Create and implement strategies to expand the awards on a global scale, including forming international partnerships.
• Oversee project coordination, track timelines and deliverables, and follow up to ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for Youth Leadership Committee members while ensuring compliance with safeguarding protocols.
• Research and coordinate mentorship opportunities, as well as select guest speakers for monthly meetings.
• Provide guidance to committee members and assist in the completion of annual projects.
• Contribute to the development and execution of a global Youth Leadership Network incorporating input from youth.
• Maintain precise program data and reporting in Salesforce.
• Assist in the preparation of surveys, reports, and stewardship documents for funders.
• Prepare purchase orders, invoices, RFPs, contracts, approval forms, and expense claims.
• Engage in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, program growth discussions, optimization efforts, research, and special projects.
• A university degree in a relevant field or a combination of education and experience equivalent to this requirement.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in program coordination, youth engagement and facilitation, or equity-focused practices.
• Experience in supporting youth-centered programs and/or event planning, outreach initiatives, or relationship management.
• Proven ability to work with youth and effectively engage youth audiences.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with virtual meeting/webinar technologies such as Zoom and MS Teams.
• Experience with responsibly using AI-enabled tools, such as Copilot, is preferred.
• Knowledge of databases, Salesforce, and/or other CRM databases is advantageous.
• Understanding of program management and the development of relevant policies and procedures.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to engage in clear and inclusive communication with youth, partners, and internal teams.
• Capacity to build trusting and respectful relationships with youth from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Effective interpersonal, relationship-building, and team collaboration skills.
• Strong coordination, organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility, creativity, and professionalism in responding to evolving needs.
• Ability to manage sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Commitment to inclusive, accessible, and trauma-informed engagement practices.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check is mandatory.
• Lived experience with a disability or a demonstrated connection to youth-serving communities may be considered an asset in lieu of formal education.
